What do you guys think of the second to last line? Does it work? Any suggestions?

The only thing that I could see that needs changing would be the last line I think because I think that the syllables are supposed to increase with each line.
I like this a lot. Since the syllables are supposed to increase, maybe "Even though you're already gone" or "long gone." Just a few suggestions. A very powerful piece though.
